Statement of the Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in response to a question regarding the Temporary Suspension of Consular Services in the Turkish Consulate General in Benghazi

As a consequence of security concerns stemming from clashes ongoing in Benghazi since 16 May 2014, the Turkish Consulate General in Benghazi has temporarily suspended its consular services.

Our Consulate General will resume its consular services following the provision of general security in Benghazi.

Please note that the visa applications will be accepted in Turkish Service Agency located in Addis Ababa, Snap Plaza ( Address: Africa Avenue, tel: +251 11 666 22 11) on weekdays between 09:00 - 16:00 hours. The Consular Section of the Embassy works by appointment on weekdays between 09:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00 hours.
