Press Release Regarding the Visit of H.E. Mr. Hashim Thaçi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, to Turkey

H.E. Mr. Hashim Thaçi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo will pay an official visit to Turkey on 18-20 February 2015 upon the invitation of H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.

During the meetings, prospects for furthering the already existing excellent bilateral relations as well as current regional and international issues will be discussed.

The visit bears significance also in the sense that it coincides with the 7th anniversary of the independence of the young Republic of Kosovo. Turkey firmly believes that a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, democratic and prosperous Kosovo is essential for peace and stability of the Balkans, and is committed to continue supporting this country, as has been the case since its independence.

Please note that the visa applications will be accepted in Turkish Service Agency located in Addis Ababa, Snap Plaza ( Address: Africa Avenue, tel: +251 11 666 22 11) on weekdays between 09:00 - 16:00 hours. The Consular Section of the Embassy works by appointment on weekdays between 09:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00 hours.
