Press Release Regarding the Terrorist Attack in Nigeria

We have learned with great sorrow that at least 86 people, including children, were killed and scores of people were injured by the militants of Boko Haram terrorist organization as a result of their attack in the village of Dalori, located 10 kilometres from Capital Maiduguri of Borno State in Nigeria, on 30 January 2016 according to the latest reports. We strongly condemn this terrorist act.

We wish God’s mercy on those who lost their lives in this heinous attack, convey our condolences to their families and wish a speedy recovery to those that were wounded.

We believe that the people of Nigeria will overcome terrorism in unity and solidarity and emphasize that Turkey, in cooperation with the international community, will continue to stand by the Nigerian State and its people in their fight against terrorism.
